It started out as a just a quick “visit to the boat”

It started out as a just a quick “visit to the boat” to deliver the dinghy engine and place it back on it’s stern rail perch, but it turned into a beautiful sail on the bay.

Our normally reliable 1999 Johnson 15HP 2-stroke had been less reliable lately so it got a trip home for a carburetor cleaning. Since it was home on the stand, we also gave it a lower unit oil change, a new water pump impeller and cleaned/re-gapped the plugs. It starts on the first pull now.

The weather was so nice, warm and sunny with the wind blowing 15 knots from the West, that it seemed a shame not to go sailing. Scotty was home keeping Sue company as she toiled away on conference calls earning the boat bucks to support the sailing addiction. Alas, it was a solo sail for Dan.

All tucked in

A wonderful day.
