Christmas had arrived! and what better place to spend this day together then in the magical city of Budapest? The ship docked early in the morning on the Pest side of the Danube, just across from Castle Hill on the Buda side of the river. We spent the morning getting oriented on a city bus tour, and then quickly made our way to Castle Hill. Here we spent several hours walking the historic cobblestone streets and viewing the districts iconic sites such as the Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Lutheran Church, and generally enjoying our gorgeous Christmas morning. We reluctantly made our way back to the bus (they were waiting for us as we were slightly tardy / the last to board) and went back to the ship to rest and prepare for our Christmas evening adventure.
