As many of you know, we have a “Bucket List” goal to travel to as many countries/protectorates as possible. To date we have managed to check 80 countries off the 218 country list. For 2023 we had planned to travel to 11 countries, 8 of them, primarily located in South Africa, East Africa, and the Middle East, would be new to us. I was particularly looking forward to the Seychelles that has been at the top of my list for years, but alas plans are made only to be changed.
Due to various considerations we have decided to postpone travel to East and South Africa and will now substitute South East Asia for that portion of our 2023 itinerary. So, South Africa, Madagascar, Mozambique, UAE, Seychelles and Cyprus are out. Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India and Singapore are in. We will retained travel to Oman and Jordan from the original plans. We also kept Egypt, Israel, and Greece for 2023, but we have traveled there previously so will be a repeat.
If we manage to pull this off, we will have completed 40% of our bucket list goal (88 out of the 218 locations on the list). This will leave us only 130 more countries/protectorates to go!
