Ah, the 1st day of March. Today started with an icy walk to one of our favorite downtown Anchorage coffee shops, Dark Horse Coffee. We indulged in a bagel and breakfast burrito washed down with dark roast coffee. We followed-up with shopping for “cold weather/snow gear” at the local outlet shop and more exploring of downtown.
The afternoon consisted of lunch and “adult beverages” at the 49th State Brewery. Dan dined on their “famous” Yak Burger while Sue enjoyed a very tasty Poke Bowl. The were plenty of leftovers to be used for dinner.
We had an 830pm meet and greet with our Iditarod tour group in the evening. Tomorrow we’re off to to Martin Buser’s Happy Trails Kennel to visit the dogs and partake in a sledding adventure.
The weather continues to be unseasonable warm and pleasant.
