Another day another port, this time it’s Las Palmas, Canary Islands, an autonomous communities of Spain. Las Palmas is located in the northeastern part of the island of Gran Canaria, about 150 km (93 mi) west of the Moroccan coast. Not much planned for today as we are kind of tired after the back to back ports of the last several days. Sue stayed on board the empty ship while Dan went out to walk the beachfront end to end. He walked from the Restaurante La Marinera to Playa de Las Canteras Pier, almost 7 miles in all. Dan did have it on good authority that there was a nude beach by the restaurant so he may have walked a little slower through that section (sorry, no photos) :-). This is our last stop before our 8 day crossing to Port Everglades, Florida. We are ready for some restful days at sea.
