Discover’s Day in Hawaii allowed a day off from work to take Narnia for a quick single handed trip around SF bay. Was also an opportunity to try out the new dock bumpers when leaving and docking. They worked great. Weather was sunny and warm.
A little boat maintenance today. Had to drill out and tap a couple of screws for the salt water wash down pump connector.
Narnia carries both a small kayak and an air floor dinghy to use as general transportation from anchorage to shore. Since it was such a beautiful day, decided to take the kayak out for a paddle.
Lunchtime project while telecommuting from Narnia. Needed to repair the Hart Systems Tank Tender system so that we can read water/fuel/waste levels (5 tanks total). System operates via air pressure. Needed to replace 2 valves(stuck open) and the air pump (precaution). Quick and easy repair (< 30 min) and all is working again. http://tanktender.com

Gorgeous day sailing Narnia on San Francisco Bay. Weather was perfect. Wind 25 knots.

Made a quick trip to the bay to check on Narnia at the dock. She’s doing well during “shelter in place/lockdown”, but she really would rather be out sailing ⛵ï¸. With Covid limiting our travel I decided to take the Capri 18 out for a sail from behind our house.
Celebrating our anniversary with a wonderful sail on the bay. Weather could not have been more perfect.
The bay was it’s normal blustery self as Narnia took us for an amazing sail around Angel Island and Alcatraz
Amazing 12hour / 60 mile sail to the Farallon Islands and back on Saturday . Typical cold foggy day along the coast. Tons of camera shy whales and other aquatic life along the way. We went aboard Coho II from the Modern Sailing club. What a wonderful time!

How does Sue spend a gorgeous Saturday? Why changing out the seagull drinking water filters aboard Narnia of course. Practicing for that “fixing the boat in exotic places” lifestyle. ⛵ï¸
Sue and I took a “mooring skills” class today. We cruised out of Sausalito (with an instructor) to Angle Island and practiced picking up mooring balls. As expected, Sue did awesome! Great class through Modern Sailing.

One of the hazards of owning a boat, you get to attend boat shows to spend money. Luckily we made it out relatively unscathed. We did attend a few “Cruising Mexico Seminars” though. That’s gives us some great ideas.
