We worked with Iceland Tours to book our Hotels and to put together a loose itinerary of things to see and do during our stay in Iceland. This will be a self driving tour completing a circumnavigation around the country in just over 12 days. The idea is to see as much as we can so we know where to concentrate when we come back.
It should be noted that the normal Google, Apple, etc mapping apps don’t always work here so you navigate to sites by actual GPS coordinates instead of site names. Also, once you leave the major cities, most of the roads are not paved.
Since we are traveling in May (before the normal tourist season) and during a pandemic, we expect that many of the sites may be closed or limited. No matter, we are here and ready to start our adventure!
