Monday 9/20/2021 morning, Santiago Island, Galapagos: Today we boarded the zodiacs to make the short journey from the ship to make a wet landing along the beach. This trip has 2 kinds of zodiac landings, a wet landing is where you must wade through the water to get to shore & a dry landing you get to shore without getting your feet wet. Guided by our naturalist, we spent the morning exploring the island. All we can say is “WOW”. The pictures do not do it justice! Arriving back at the beach, we suited up for a quick snorkel in the “refreshing” cool water before returning to the ship. This was the 1st of 2 islands we would explore today.
