‘This morning we left our hotel in Lesser Town Prague for an early morning private walking tour of Old Prague. We explored the city with the the help of our awesome local guide who showed us around the various “must see” sites of the area. The 3 of us spent about 4 hours traversing the cobblestoned streets of Lesser Town, across the Charles Bridge to Old Town, and up the hill to the Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. Our guide bade us farewell after the Castle and left us to explore on our own. Needless to say it was an amazing morning.
The afternoon saw us having lunch at the Lobkowicz Palace, located in the castle complex, followed by a private concert by 3 fine local musicians and finally a tour of the Lobkowicz Palace Museum.
A short walk down the hill brought us back to Hotel Augustine in Lesser Town.
While the Christmas Markets in Prague were shut down this year due to Covid restrictions, some remnants of the holiday spirit remained in the city and it’s people.
Rather then try to explain each of the sites, we’ll just attach the following are random photos from our walk. We’ve broken them up into 4 slideshows.
