It’s been a long time since we’ve taken the kayak out for a paddle. With all of our recent travels, home and boat projects, and just life in general, there hasn’t been time. Well that changed today! We pulled the kayaks down from their storage racks, hosed them off, and carried them down to the dock. Dan went for a nice 3 mile paddle around our backyard while Sue enjoyed her much needed time away from Dan by playing maestro in the kitchen and whipping up gourmet masterpieces (that’s why Dan needs the exercise 🙂 ). We are very lucky to have this playground in our backyard.

August Paddle Around the Swamp
It looks like it was a perfect day to be out on the swamp.
Yes. A perfect day. The swamp is even more active at night, alive with the sounds life.
