Every travel book, article, blog, or guide says that you can’t go to Iceland without a visit to the Blue Lagoon Spa. It was “along the way” on the drive from our quarantine hotel in Keflavik to our hotel in Reykjavik so we decided it was a good time to plan a visit.
We book a day pass to The Retreat Spa section of the resort and it was amazing. We spent a day of guiltless pampering in the exclusive baths, spas, meditation rooms, steam rooms, and other amenities of the area. We were not permitted to bring cameras into The Retreat, but we did venture out into the main Lagoon were we could take some photos. An fabulous way to be introduced to Iceland. As nice as The Retreat was, we think the “regular lagoon” would be a perfectly fine way to spend the day.
After the Spa we continued our explorations of the country on our way to Reykjavik
